Jehad Oumer Expands Robot –Assisted Learning Overseas

Being an eager learner, a potential entrepreneur, Jehad Oumer an LAU MEPI TL student in Computer Science chose to pass along his valuable knowledge to a younger generation with the aim to enhance students’ problem-solving skills in a robot-assisted learning environment.

Oumer’s project consisted of a series of robot-assisted learning workshops specially tailored to public middle schools in Lebanon.

Backed up by his experience in robotics and programming workshops that he previously led in public schools back in his home country Libya, Oumer developed a comprehensive and concise program allowing students to learn concepts of electronics and robotics by building up smart robot projects using a robotic tutorial kits.

Oumer’s presented the project to the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Lebanon and received an approval to start the road map and workshops schedule after a long process of follow up and persistence.

Oumer has proven to be a great example of a leader by setting a vision, developing a plan, persisting to achieve his goal and expand it overseas. Oumer is a great example of how MEPI helps students to maximize their capacities and continue to develop new and innovative ideas that help communities across the globe.
