Salwa Abu Chaar Empowers LAU Students to Excel in Consulting

Salwa Abu Chaar, a Lebanese student in the MEPI TLU program, was elected as the Vice President of the Consulting Community at LAU Beirut. Recognizing the lack of resources and support for students interested in consulting, Salwa took the initiative to help her peers launch successful careers in this field.

Salwa noticed that many LAU students had a keen interest in consulting but lacked the necessary guidance to navigate the industry effectively. Understanding the importance of understanding consulting principles, mastering case studies, and excelling in interviews with top firms, she decided to make a difference.

“I noticed that many LAU students were keenly interested in consulting but lacked the necessary guidance to navigate the industry effectively. Recognizing the importance of understanding consulting principles, mastering case studies, and excelling in interviews with top firms, I knew it was time to step up and make a difference,” Salwa passionately stated.

With the aim of empowering her fellow students to thrive in the consulting world, Salwa organized workshops and bootcamps. These sessions had a remarkable impact on the Consulting Community, leading to increased student engagement. Salwa’s case-solving workshops played a crucial role in enhancing students’ problem-solving skills, preparing them to confidently tackle the challenges they would face in real-world consulting scenarios.

Salwa’s efforts align with the values championed by the MEPI Tomorrow’s Leaders program, emphasizing leadership, growth, and knowledge sharing. Through her dedication, she fosters a culture of growth and knowledge exchange among students, nurturing the next generation of professionals and leaders.

In Salwa’s own words: “I am passionate about helping my fellow students succeed in the consulting field. By providing them with the guidance and support they need, I believe we can create a community of empowered individuals ready to make a positive impact in their careers. Together, we can shape the future of consulting and inspire others to achieve their goals.”
