In a time when Lebanon continues to face ongoing challenges, MEPI Tomorrow’s Leaders students are showing resilience and adaptability as they move forward in their academic and professional journeys.

Manar Haydar, a MEPI Tomorrow’s Leaders Graduate scholar studying Human Resources Management at the Lebanese American University, has reached an important milestone in her academic journey. She was recently inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Society, one of the highest recognitions a business student can receive worldwide.

Beta Gamma Sigma is an international honor society that recognizes the top business students at universities accredited by AACSB International. Membership is limited to the top 10 percent of students, a symbol of excellence, dedication, and strong academic performance.

For Manar, this recognition reflects years of hard work and commitment. “Joining Beta Gamma Sigma feels really special,” Manar shares. “It feels like one of those moments where external recognition finally catches up to what you’ve been quietly carrying for years; the scholarship, the thesis, the parallel workstreams, all of it pursued under real pressure and with real stakes.”

The Beta Gamma Sigma chapter at LAU was established within the Adnan Kassar School of Business to connect high achieving students with a global network of professionals. Members gain access to leadership programs, scholarships, and an international community that supports their future careers.

Manar sees this achievement as more than an academic honor. She views it as a step toward new opportunities and personal growth. “For someone who fought to get to graduate school in the first place, this isn’t just an academic honor,” she says. “It’s confirmation that the bet was worth it. I’m proud.”

As a MEPI Tomorrow’s Leaders scholar, Manar continues to show dedication, discipline, and a strong desire to grow. Her induction into Beta Gamma Sigma highlights her commitment to excellence and her readiness to take on future challenges with confidence.
