Abdul Rahman Inspires Change Through Creative Writing

By Raffi Chilingirian | February 16, 2024

Abdul Rahman Al Zaatari, a MEPI TLU student from Lebanon, passionately embraced the opportunity to contribute to Lebanon’s vision by submitting his creative writing to both the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie and Librarie Antoine.

Lebanon today continues to face numerous challenges. In order to inspire hope and envision a better future, AUF, in collaboration with Librarie Antoine, launched a writing initiative centered around shaping the Lebanon of our dreams. Participants were encouraged to express their vision of a brighter Lebanon through their creative writings and stories.

The judging committee meticulously reviewed the submissions, and Abdul Rahman’s writing was selected to be part of the book. Among 700 submissions, only 80 were chosen, making this recognition particularly significant.

MEPI fosters a sense of civic engagement and empowers individuals to play an active role in shaping their country’s future. Abdul Rahman’s success story highlights the transformative power of writing and creative expression in inspiring positive change at both the individual and societal levels.
