Visit to a drug rehab center

On Wednesday, April 7, the TL students visited “Bonheur du Ciel”, a drug rehab center.

The visit was divided into different sessions. First of all, the center is concerned with spreading awareness about this serious topic, and therefore showed the students documentaries regarding this issue. Secondly, a specialist talked about the effects of drugs on the individual and the community, and showed the students statistics about drug usage in Lebanon and the world. Finally, the students took a tour of the rehab center to see its treatment procedures, which consisted mostly of meditation and art therapy.

At the end, a dinner was held with the current and recovered patients, and all involved exchanged thoughts and learnt from their experience.
