Academic Activities
All new TL students attended a two-day orientation session organized by LAU in September to introduce them to the university and the different offices and services directly related to student life and academic matters. They were also introduced to the advising registration process.
The first activity that all students participated in was a one-day retreat on September 25, 2010, at LAU’s Beirut Campus. The goals of this retreat were first to break the ice, strengthen bonding between the students and create a spirit of teamwork, and second, to present the MEPI-TL program and all its related expectations to the students.
All three leadership courses (Fundamentals of Conflict Resolution, Ethics in Leadership, and Leadership in NGOs, Corporations, and Public Sector) have been integrated in the corresponding LAU curricula and academic schedules. The TL Admin Team is coordinating with the faculty teaching those courses to highlight the program’s expectations, in particular, the capstone project that each student should work on in her or his senior year.
