Eligibility and Application Process
Step 1: Check if you are eligible
The LAU-MEPI Tomorrow’s Leaders Undergraduate Program is designed to provide higher education opportunities to high school seniors from underserved backgrounds who demonstrate strong academic capacity and leadership potential. The program is open to both men and women who would otherwise be unable to attend a four-year degree program.
Recruitment and pre-selection of candidates from various countries in the region are handled by FHI 360. For inquiries regarding the application process, please contact help@tomorrowsleadersprogram.org. Once selected, students are admitted to LAU based on the university’s admission criteria
Eligible Countries:
The program is open to candidates from the following countries: Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Tunisia, Syria, Yemen, and Iraq, and West Bank and Gaza (including Palestinians residing outside of the West Bank and Gaza).
Eligible candidates must:
- Be high school seniors
- Have a strong academic record;
- Demonstrate Proficiency in English by passing one of the English exams mentioned in the provided URL: https://www.lau.edu.lb/apply/english-exam-scores.php;
- Attain the required SAT test score, when applicable;
- Demonstrate maturity, flexibility, and leadership potential;
- Be able to start the program in the upcoming Fall semester
Credentials required for Palestinians residing outside of the West Bank and Gaza will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
N.B.: American citizens are NOT eligible to apply for the program.
Step 2: Choose your major
The LAU-MEPI Tomorrow’s Leaders Undergraduate Program encourages students to select majors that contribute to the development of their respective countries. Students have the opportunity to choose from a wide range of majors offered by the Arts & Sciences, Architecture & Design, Business, Engineering, and Nursing schools at LAU.
The program allows students to pursue any of the four-year bachelor’s degree programs offered by the university’s schools. The available majors include:

* Require an SAT or ACT score that meets the minimum requirement of the respective School. Students pursuing these majors must enter LAU as sophomores.
All newly admitted students are required to attend the Byblos campus their first year and will have the choice to transfer to the Beirut campus their second year, if their selected major is offered there.
