TL students recount their internship experiences

On November 11, 2009, TL students participated in a roundtable discussion, to share their experiences of community involvement. Marian Hanna, a sophomore studying business, and Ahmed Saleh, a sophomore working toward a degree in communication arts, shared their internship experiences with their fellow TL students. Both students participated in an internship with the INDEVCO subsidiary, UNIPAK, in their native Egypt. The students presented a summary of their work with INDEVCO Group, discussing the skills and knowledge gained through the internship and their personal growth and maturation in the work environment. Finally, second-year biology student, Ali Jammoul, gave a presentation on his involvement with NGOs working on HIV/AIDS awareness campaigns, conferences, and training. He touched on the international exposure to the issue and the obstacles faced by NGOs working on HIV/AIDS in the Lebanese community.
